2025 Tigers Spring Mixer

The Tigers Mixer still has goalie spots available and is taking a waitlist for skaters. If you are a skater interested in playing, we encourage you to sign up for the waitlist by filling out the registration form - but please do not submit payment at this time. We typically have a few people get in off the waitlist every year, so please do sign up!
The Basics:
- The Spring Mixer will be on Wednesday nights at the Glenview Community Ice Center this year (with a few slots at other nearby rinks due to ice maintenance, similar to last year). Everyone gets 9 weeks of refereed game play - April 9 through June 11 (no ice April 30) - with one game per week per team. Most games will start between 8:30pm and 10:00pm, with some earlier slots here and there (nothing earlier than 7:25pm).
- Team jerseys are included. (We will offer a jersey exchange as usual this year and those details will be provided after registration is complete.)
- Rosters will include a mix of players from different organizations and skill levels - sign up individually and we will place you on a team.
- The Spring Mixer includes a wide range of player skill levels, from beginner to elite. This is a great opportunity for friends to play together who may not be close enough in skill level to skate on the same team during the regular season. Our intent is to provide a safe space where higher level skaters can mentor lower level skaters and foster team play in a social, recreational environment. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including fighting, taunting, retaliation, and aggressive play that is inappropriate to the spirit of the Mixer will not be tolerated.
Registration:
- We will have 8 teams again this year and registration will be limited accordingly.
- Registration will open on Wednesday, March 19 at 8:00pm and will close March 31 or earlier if we reach capacity. Please note that registrations are not considered complete until you have completed the registration form AND paid the registration fee. We have reached capacity quickly for the past several years, so we encourage you to register and pay promptly to avoid disappointment.
- If we fill to capacity, we will update our website as soon as possible to indicate we are taking a waitlist. Anyone on the waitlist will also be contacted directly and if the fee has already been paid, a refund will be issued. We typically have a few people get in from the waitlist each year, so please do sign up for that if you miss out initially!
Some Additional Notes:
- While you are welcome to submit a friend request, please note that our first priority is to create balanced teams. Players can only request one friend and only mutual one-to-one pairs will be considered (no chains or one-way requests). The Mixer is a great time to skate with a different group and meet new people!
- As usual, we will ask registrants to list any weeks they know they will not be able to attend to try to avoid short benches and minimize substitutions.
- After the first round of play, teams are subject to adjustment as needed for the purpose of balancing skill levels at the discretion of the mixer organizers. We realize both social and skill factors are important to teams and individuals, and we will not take this action unless it seems absolutely necessary. After the first week, players will not be switched around. Please understand that creating balanced teams is not an exact science and while we do our best, there are many factors that can impact this.
We are an Adult Women's league (ages 18+). All players need to be USA Hockey registered, and you will need to provide your confirmation number to register for the Mixer. If you do not have a current USA Hockey number, click here to get one. If you can't find your confirmation, click here to look it up.
